Today we finally finished two important streets in town - Main St and Bank St. They are part of The Downtown Stamford Historic District. It is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The originally listed area included part of all Atlantic, Main, Bank and Bedford Streeets and examples of Late 19th and 20th Century Revivals, Late Victorian and Commercial Vernacular architecture. Today this is a popular place to hang out with friends, to get a drink in one of many bars, to enjoy a great cuisine and to have fun at clubs.
